Choose only one option, set your timer, turn off all distractions, and get to organizing!
Option 1: Organize an “Out” Spot
An “Out” Spot is for items that need to be returned to friends or family. That baseball hat your son’s playmate left at your house or that casserole dish that you need to return to your neighbor. Create a holding spot, somewhere tucked away, but not too out-of-the-way!
Option 2: Organize a “Return” Spot
NOT to be confused with the “Out” spot. This is for things that need to be returned to a store or mailed back. A holding place for the next time you can make it back to Target or the post office. 🙂
Option 3: Organize a “Gift Spot”
With the holidays approaching it’s helpful to have a spot designated for all of the gifts. Find a secret area such as an empty cupboard and claim that as the spot! (During the non-holiday season this is also a great spot for those birthday presents to be tucked away prior to the party date.) Doing this will also help you to not lose a gift, I’ve had that happen!Â
Important Reminders:
- Be realistic and do not take on more than what you will be able to finish within 10-15 minutes per day. Â
- The goal is to do one project to 100% completion each day.
- Feel free to mix and match from day-to-day based on what your specific needs are and what you have the motivation to work on!
