Choose only one option, set your timer, turn off all distractions, and get to organizing!
Option 1: Organize your Correspondence
A simple organizing focus for today – just take your 10-15 minutes and send that email, make that call, or write that Thank You. Often some of the simplistic tasks get overlooked. Use your time to reconnect or cross off that “to do.”
Option 2: Organize your Baking Supplies
Now is the perfect time to do a once over of your baking supplies. It’s a great time to see what you have in stock and to do a little purging too!
- Take an inventory of your baking supplies: flour, sugar, oils, butter, sprinkles etc… Make a list of anything that you need to replenish.
- Evaluate your baking equipment and tools – are there things you don’t ever use but are hanging on to? Or do you need to take care of getting some replacement parts?
- Purge what isn’t being used then clean up and organize what stays!
- Make a list of some of the things you want to bake for the holidays. 🙂
Option 3: Organize your Mail
How is your paper mail (organizational) system? Is it working for you and your family? Evaluate if you need to make some adjustments or add a designated in/out box. Going a step forward, what mail can you minimize by cancelling subscriptions or opting for paperless?
If your paper mail is under control…then what about taking your 15 minutes to better organize your emails? Creating files and a “to do” file folder can make a world of difference as you receive new communication daily. A great service Unroll.Me will help you to eliminate the subscriptions that you no longer want to receive.
Important Reminders:
- Be realistic and do not take on more than what you will be able to finish within 10-15 minutes per day.
- The goal is to do one project to 100% completion each day.
- Feel free to mix and match from day-to-day based on what your specific needs are and what you have the motivation to work on!
