Choose only one option, set your timer, turn off all distractions, and get to organizing!
Option 1: Organize Gifts or Cards
GIFTS – It’s a great time to sit down and really think through all of the gift shopping that you want (and need) to do over the next month or so. Take your time and jot it all down. Account for everyone in your life that you want to give a gift to this season. From friends to family, to your hairdresser to your child’s teacher to your co-workers. Also consider your budget and be very realistic about who you are shopping for and work to make your gift giving season stress free!
CARDS – Are you planning on sending cards or an email update to your friends and family this year? Make a plan to take care of all of the necessary details, now. Everything from postage, to pictures, to addresses. Plan well and send well!
Option 2: Organize your Hats & Gloves
Oh, I don’t really care for the cold. But it is a reality – for most of us, especially as the winter season approaches. Today is your chance to do a once over, of all things that help you to accessorize for the cold.
- Collect all of your cold weather accessories and pile them together and go through every single piece.
- Take all of the pieces you want to hold on to and keep available, and put them back in your organized system. (Rather this be a bin, a dresser drawer, a hall closet or an over the door organizer.)
- Consider placing a pair of gloves in your car or purse so you that are prepared when the cold comes unexpected.
- You might even want to add some hats and gloves to your holiday shopping list for your loved ones, they make great stocking gifts.
Option 3: Organize your Keys
Do you have a spot for your keys to rest when you enter and exit your home? Do you have a bunch of random keys lying around somewhere that need to be addressed and labeled (or even discarded)? Take your 10 minutes today and clean up the keys in your home, purse, drawers…
Important Reminders:
- Be realistic and do not take on more than what you will be able to finish within 10-15 minutes per day.
- The goal is to do one project to 100% completion each day.
- Feel free to mix and match from day-to-day based on what your specific needs are and what you have the motivation to work on!
