Choose only one option, set your timer, turn off all distractions, and get to organizing!
Option 1: Organize your Cups & Mugs
With the winter weather approaching make sure your cups and mugs are ready for the extra business that is coming soon! Often we have WAY more cups and mugs than we ever use, so try to minimize and only keep the ones that you love.
- Empty the space where you store all of your cups and mugs.
- Determine which in your supply need to be donated or even used as gifts?
- Clean the space well and return everything you are keeping, back to order.
- Stock up on your hot cocoa and marshmallows too!
Option 2: Organize your Contacts
One of my constant challenges is to stay on top of my contacts. If you are like me, then now is a great time to clean up your address book or contacts on your computer. That way you will have an updated list of the people you want to actually be in contact with!
- Start by organizing and streamlining all of your contacts.
- Consider coordinating your contacts into different groups, ie: family members, school contacts, etc.
- Try to standardize how you organize all of your contacts, format the same way every time for consistency and ease of locating the info when you need it.
- Do you have a list of those you want to send holiday cards to? Do you need to update it?
Option 3: Organize your Pantry
Not a complete overall, but a quick purge and sweep! Need some inspiration? See three different (organized) pantries on MWM, {Pantry #1} {Pantry #2} {Pantry #3}.
- Go basket by basket, shelf by shelf or drawer by drawer (keeping your time to 15 minutes).
- Toss any food that is outdated.
- Make a menu plan based on any foods that need to be used in the next month or two.
- Make a list for any items that need to be replenished.
- Clean as you go.
- Re-organize things as necessary.
- Step back and smile.
Important Reminders:
- Be realistic and do not take on more than what you will be able to finish within 10-15 minutes per day.
- The goal is to do one project to 100% completion each day.
- Feel free to mix and match from day-to-day based on what your specific needs are and what you have the motivation to work on!
