Choose only one option, set your timer, turn off all distractions, and get to organizing!
Option 1: Organize your Pantry
Not a complete overall, but a quick purge and sweep!
- Go basket by basket, shelf by shelf, or drawer by drawer (keeping your time to no more than 15 minutes).
- Toss any outdated food.
- Make a menu plan based on any foods which need to be used in the next month or two.
- Make a list for any items that need replenishing.
- Clean as you go…
- Re-organize things as necessary.
- Step back and smile. 🙂
Option 2: Organize your Beach Towels
Dig out the beach towels today and take your 10-15 minutes to go through them.
- Do some of your towels need to be turned into cleaning rags?
- Do you have enough beach towels for your summer activities?
- Do you have a good storage space set up for the towels?
- Do you have a great way to air-dry the beach towels for quick turn around between swim sessions?
When you are all done, fold them and stack them so they are ready for those pool parties!
Option 3: Organize your Books
- Pick a selection of books you will be able to sort through quickly.
- Be discerning about which books you want to keep and which books you could donate or sell.
- Dust and clean as necessary.
- Bag up any books you plan to donate (most libraries will take donated books).
Important Reminders:
- Be realistic and do not take on more than what you will be able to finish within 10-15 minutes per day. Â
- The goal is to do one project to 100% completion each day.
- Feel free to mix and match from day-to-day based on what your specific needs are and what you have the motivation to work on!
