Just like that, and you are half-way through the OC!
Choose only one option, set your timer, turn off all distractions, and get to organizing!
Option 1: Organize your Sunscreen Supply
- Evaluate what you have that is left over from last summer.
- Discard any expired lotions and sprays.
- Make a list of what you need to purchase for summer (consider bug repellents too).
- Keep all of the items together in a tote, basket or bag.
- Place the supply in a spot that will be handy to grab when heading to the pool or on vacation!
Option 2: Organize your Make-Up
Need some fantastic motivation? This article shares 24 ways to store (and organize) your beauty products.
- Start by taking every piece of make up out of your storage space (including your purse).
- Discard anything that is expired and anything that you no longer wear.
- Wipe down the storage area and then re-organize your make up as you put it back away.
- Consider simplifying your make up by only keeping the main products that you wear day-to-day, then store any other make up separately (such as make up that you might only wear for special occasions).
Option 3: Organize your “Out” Spot
Pick an area near where you enter and exit your home to create a place to hold items that need to go OUT with you. Items that you need to be grabbing when you go out. Not everyday items but more like items that need to be remembered at certain times.
For example: 1) store returns/exchanges, 2) library returns, 3) gifts to give, 4) items to return to friends, 5) things that need to go back into the car.
Use a basket or a bin, possibly only one or maybe more than one. (If you want to set up different categories just be sure to label accordingly, so everyone can follow the system.) Then, don’t forget to teach your family about the new “OUT” Spot.
Important Reminders:
- Be realistic and do not take on more than what you will be able to finish within 10-15 minutes per day.
- The goal is to do one project to 100% completion each day.
- Feel free to mix and match from day-to-day based on what your specific needs are and what you have the motivation to work on!
