High five, you organizer you!
Choose only one option, set your timer, turn off all distractions, and get to organizing!
Option 1: Organize your Linen Closet
Need a little inspiration before you dig into your Linen Closet? This article at Better Homes and Gardens, has some great creative inspiration on how to better organize a Linen Closet.
Here is your step-by-step organizing plan:
- Evaluate if you have defined purposes for each of the shelves/cupboards/drawers in your space.
- Purge what needs to be removed.
- Move anything that doesn’t belong in your Linen Closet.
- Clean and re-organize as you go!
Option 2: Organize your Medicine
It’s time to grab all of your medications and prescriptions….
- Check each item for expired dates, and dispose of all expired medicine.
- Write a list for items that need to be replenished, and/or prescriptions that need to be renewed.
- Consider organizing your medications in different sections, adult/children, etc.
- Remember to store all medications out of children’s reach and somewhere other than a bathroom. (Bathrooms can tend to be too warm and humid, which can speed up the drug’s breakdown process.)
- Shop and restock so that you are ready for the summer! (Do you need summer specific medications for things like…motion sickness or bug bites?)
Option 3: Organize Summer Birthdays
Now is a great time to look at your calendar for the upcoming summer months and make some plans for any Birthday shopping and/or party planning that you need to take care of. Get organized with a plan now, so that when summer is underway, you’ll be able to grab the already wrapped gifts and get to celebrating!
Important Reminders:
- Be realistic and do not take on more than what you will be able to finish within 10-15 minutes per day.
- The goal is to do one project to 100% completion each day.
- Feel free to mix and match from day-to-day based on what your specific needs are and what you have the motivation to work on!
