Reward yourself with a little treat for all of your awesome organizing effort this week!
Choose only one option, set your timer, turn off all distractions, and get to organizing!
Option 1: Organize your Magazines
Do you have stacks of magazines, that you haven’t yet actually gone through or taken the time to read? (I’m guilty.) Even though I don’t have any current magazine subscriptions, they still seem to find their way into my home!
Use your time today to focus on minimizing the stack. Do you need to cancel some subscriptions? Can you recycle a pile? Be honest with yourself, are you actually going to make it through the stack?
Sometimes we hold on to things with good intentions, but then life happens. So take a direct approach and give yourself some freedom today by whacking the stack – at least in half!
Option 2: Organize your (Car) First Aid
Now…whether or not you have children in your home, it’s always good to be prepared for all of life’s what ifs! I FINALLY just did this. I shared a more complete post all about how I took a little time (like 10-15 minutes) and actually stocked my car with more of the essentials. Hopefully you won’t need most of it, but if you ever do, you’ll be prepared.
Option 3: Organize your Coats
I know we’re still in the cold season, more or less. (Depending on where you live.) However, it’s a great time to take a peek into that coat closet and see what coats you haven’t worn this past season. Because chances are that if you haven’t worn something this past winter season, then you probably won’t wear it next winter season either. Gather up the coats that need to go and put the bag in your car for the next donation drop off.
It’s also a good time to assess if you have a coat “hole” – in other words a coat “need” of some kind, after all coats should be on sale right now. You get where I’m going with this…
Important Reminders:
- Be realistic and do not take on more than what you will be able to finish within 10-15 minutes per day.
- The goal is to do one project to 100% completion each day.
- Feel free to mix and match from day-to-day based on what your specific needs are and what you have the motivation to work on!
