Today begins your 10 days of organizing!
Each {organizing} day you will have not one, but THREE different options to choose from. This is to provide you with a range of choices. So depending on what interests you and what needs to be addressed in your home, you will always have choices. Choices are good.
Once you get into your groove, feel free to mix and match projects from day-to-day. The goal is to get ONE project done per day. IF you have time for more, fantastic, but keep your goal simple and realistic, and only add-on once you get the primary goal done.
Now…go ahead and choose only one option, set your timer, turn off all distractions, and get to organizing!
Option 1: Organize your Cleaning Supplies
Take your 10-15 minutes today and grab all of your cleaning supplies. See where you can eliminate some of the excess. Combine bottles, recycle empty ones, and make a list of anything that needs to be replaced or refilled. Try to scale back your cleaning supplies to the five essential cleaning products: all-purpose cleaner, glass cleaner, wood polish, abrasive cleaner for the bathroom and kitchen, and floor cleaner.
Option 2: Organize {1} Kitchen Cupboard
Choose {1} Kitchen Cupboard to attack! Follow these steps and go from un-organized to organized.
- Take everything out – every.single.thing.
- Clean the cupboard inside and outside.
- Determine what stays and what goes.
- Re-organize the cupboard in the most efficient way.
- Step back and say, “Well that looks better!”
Option 3: Create a “Coupon or Card Corral”
Do you have piles of unused gift cards, free passes or vouchers that are just lying around? Take action and corral these various coupons, gift certificates, free gym passes etc. into a fun colored box.
Important Reminders:
- Be realistic and do not take on more than what you will be able to finish within 10-15 minutes per day.
- The goal is to do one project to 100% completion each day.
- Feel free to mix and match from day-to-day based on what your specific needs are and what you have the motivation to work on!
