Choose only one option, set your timer, turn off all distractions, and get to organizing!
Option 1: Organize your Holiday Budget
Now is a fantastic time to look at your budget and determine what you want to spend on the holidays this year. In fact, if you create a budget you can start shopping in September and spread out your shopping (and budget) for four months. It’s a great way to minimize the strain of the extra shopping and will also give you a more organized approach. If you have extra time, work on your holiday shopping list too!
Option 2: Organize your Halloween Costumes
Don’t have kids? Don’t dress up? Then you can just skip this one.
BUT…if you do, then NOW is the time to start planning!
- Start brainstorming about creative costume ideas now and look for inexpensive ways to put costumes together over the next two months.
- Consider shopping online and ordering any costumes or accessories now, so you don’t have to shop at the last-minute.
- Organize and go through all of the costumes you do have on hand and place them in a few bins.
- Think about treating yourself to a Pumpkin Spice Latte! 🙂
Option 3: Organize your Entryway
Use your time today to evaluate your entryway. Do you have things set up in a productive manner? Are the members of your family using the entryway in an organized fashion or are they just dumping their things? Can you add a basket, a bowl, a hook…? OR what doesn’t belong? Be creative and make it simple for everyone to use and also maintain.
Important Reminders:
- Be realistic and do not take on more than what you will be able to finish within 10-15 minutes per day.
- The goal is to do one project to 100% completion each day.
- Feel free to mix and match from day-to-day based on what your specific needs are and what you have the motivation to work on!
