Choose only one option, set your timer, turn off all distractions, and get to organizing!
Option 1: Organize your Bedroom
- Tidy up your nightstand.
- Make your bed! (Something that instantly makes your room look more pulled together.)
- Do you need to clean out under the bed?
- How are your dressers or other landing spots, like chairs or desks that might be in your bedroom?
- Take your time today to just focus on making your bedroom look and feel more organized.
Option 2: Organize your Freezer
This is not a complete organization or a deep clean of the freezer, it’s time to evaluate how many popsicles are left and to find the hidden items you could grab and use to whip up a simple dinner.
- Discard anything that is outdated or that you are never going to eat.
- Group like items together, try to wipe and clean a bit as you go.
- Condense and combine items to maximize space.
- Consider adding labels to better designate where items are to be placed.
- Add any items that need to be replenished to your shopping list.
- Plan a dinner menu with any items that are close to expiring.
- Think about doing some freezer cooking this month. A few pre-made dinners in your organized freezer will be a welcome idea on a busy fall night!
Option 3: Organize (1) Bathroom counter
Sweep time! Whenever counters are cleaner, your home will look more organized.
- Start by standing in your bathroom and look at what you see. Are there things that don’t belong on the counters? Do you have zones set in place to maximize order? Do your bathroom counters look organized?
- After taking an honest look and making a plan…get to work!
- Move things as necessary, put more things away and look for opportunities to minimize what is on the counter tops.
- Add in some baskets or trays, to create better zones.
- Take the time to wipe down the counters and even the backsplash.
Important Reminders:
- Be realistic and do not take on more than what you will be able to finish within 10-15 minutes per day.
- The goal is to do one project to 100% completion each day.
- Feel free to mix and match from day-to-day based on what your specific needs are and what you have the motivation to work on!
