Well, its summer so it’s time for me to share my 10 favorite things with you! If you haven’t seen my faves from 2019 be sure to check them out! Spring HERE, Summer HERE, Fall HERE, and Winter HERE. And my Spring Favorites for 2020 are HERE.
Today is all about my Summer Favorites! Some of the pictures may link to Amazon (affiliate link) for easy reference and/or shopping. These items are not necessarily all related to summertime, but they are recent things I am appreciating, enjoying, using etc.
No. 1: Campus Quilts
My daughter graduated last year from high school and one item on my to-do list was to have all of her memory t-shirts (from sports, camps, etc.) made into a quilt. Thankfully I found Campus Quilts to do the hard work for me.
I shared all about the process HERE. I highly recommend them as a company and I’m so pleased with how it turned out. This is the perfect way to make your memories count!
No. 2: IKEA Pillows
My daughter (Ainsley) is preparing to move into the cutest little house near her college campus next month. (She’ll be taking most of her classes online.) We’ve had so much fun setting up her new room. When it came to repurposing some pillows, we turned to IKEA for cute pillow covers.
If you like changing out your pillows regularly, their cushions and covers are fabulous. We did a 20×20 in the green (pictured above) and two orange pillows 16×26 (pictured below). The quality, price, and zippers (to remove for washing) are the best!
No. 3: Beautifully Organized
Nikki from At Home with Nikki recently launched her new book, Beautifully Organized. It is absolutely beautiful. I love Nikki’s eye for design and the book is FULL of tactical tips for how to set your home up in an organized way. If you are looking for more organizing inspo you don’t need to look any further.
No. 4: Oh Happy Dani!
I stumbled across Oh Happy Dani on Instagram and absolutely love what she is doing. She is creating beautiful artwork to help educate and inform us all on how we can impact our spheres of influence. If you’d like to learn more about Dani and her message, I encourage you to check out her IGTV’s. You’ll love her heart and her prints.
No. 5: Onion Cutter
When it comes to saving time I’m all about it! If you cook and feel like you need to streamline some steps, consider getting an onion cutter. I have one and I LOVE it! It’s a life saver and makes the tears less likely. (Mine isn’t as fancy as this one but I’m sure these options would be handy too.)
No. 6: Deonna
My friend Deonna is a beautiful designer. I recently ordered this shirt from her and I love it’s message. Very timely in this current season and an important reminder. She’s a talented artist and offers many things, go check her out!
No. 7: Magnolia Table
Joanna does it again! During quarantineening (is this a word?) I’ve occasionally had the urge to bake something. And Joanna’s new cookbook does not disappoint! The strawberry pie was a favorite around here. If you’ve made something please share in the comments and let me know if I should add it to my list of recipes to try.
No. 8: Trader Joe’s Picks
Trader Joe’s is the best. Am I right? I don’t shop here weekly but when I do pop in I always find more goodies to use and love. Here are a few things I’m currently using and loving. All pampering related…
No. 9: In-Drawer Knife Block
Last week I had the dream job in Aspen, Colorado. I know right? It was so fun to see the city (if even just in a blink) and to work on resetting a kitchen and living room. One of my favorite products we used is an in-drawer knife block. These beauties help to keep your counters clear and just look so good! (This model is from Bed, Bath, and Beyond – Henckles brand.)
No. 10: Camping!!!
We HAD to break up our summer with something. So, we hopped in the car and drove to Southern Utah and camped for three nights. It was HOT but so fun.
We visited Zion National Park and spent lots of time soaking up the sun and cooling off in the lake where we camped (pictured below). After packing up for our trip and refining things I created a FREE printable for you! It’s now in my shop if you’d like to download it. It truly helped me to not forget the important things, you know like a lighter and bug spray!
Thank you for linking arms with me and continuing to seek intentionality. I’m cheering for you loudly!
Also, if you are interested my upcoming book, Your Hospitality Personality is now available for pre-order. It will officially release on 8.18.20!
Happy Organizing!
