Have you ever found yourself looking at a cleaning bottle and wondering what all those ingredients are listed on the back of the bottle? Curious what the affect may be on your home and family? And while yes, they may be helping you clean, but what else might they may be doing?
My friend, and fellow professional organizer, Bridget from Unclutter It, recently shared a company that creates safe cleaning products. I was more than happy to discover The Wholesome Home. I love that they realized a need in the market and then found a way to fill it. Here’s some of their story.
The Wholesome Home
It all started in 2017. I was a 33 year old, single mom to a beautiful 4 year old little girl. My mom had an idea to start an ‘eco-friendly cleaning service’ that would only allow the use of natural cleaning products. She also wanted to create a color-coded cleaning system, to avoid cross contamination from a floor or bathroom, to a kitchen counter. Smart, huh? Looking back this was no surprise. My mom had practiced natural and clean living since I was young, teaching my brothers and me to read labels and beware of the long term health effects of harsh chemicals in food and household products.
We both knew (from years of personally looking) that finding readily available & affordable natural cleaning products was going to be a problem. After trial and error of many so-called ‘natural’ products, our solution was to make our own.
Since then we used our products every day in our own homes, and in our customer’s homes, and the response was overwhelmingly positive. I personally used these products every day on cleaning jobs with a team of mom’s that worked right along side me. Our customers and employees loved the products so much, we started receiving requests to purchase. My cleaning team and I loved the products and system, we just didn’t realize how much everyone else would too!
They have a full range of products and a color-coded cleaning system that I think is spot on (no pun intended!). I love that they provide a non-toxic cleaning alternative and have also streamlined what you need to clean with. It’s a simple and safe solution for all of your cleaning needs. Go check them out, you’ll be so glad you did!
Seasonal Organizing Challenges
Last, but not least, have you checked out the Spring Organizing Challenge? While it was scheduled (officially) for early February you can always set the dates for each of the challenges for whenever you’d like to work on the 10 days of projects. The whole intent is to focus for just 10-15 minutes a day on 10 mini-organizing projects. I provide you with three daily prompts and you get to choose what to work on and you can even listen to the MWM podcast while you work. They are intentionally recorded for the same length of time. It’s as if that was planned, well maybe it was!
Happy Organizing!
