With the year winding down and the season moving closer to winter, my hope is that you are able to reflect on the past year with joy and that you are also able to look ahead with a sense of anticipation. Isn’t that what we all look forward to at the end of the year before our fresh start? Saying hello and goodbye?
And please know, that while I share about living organized, pursuing your goals, and striving to be intentional…my deepest hope, is and always will be, that you will find your hope in Jesus. I had a near what could have been a life threatening car accident this fall and it rocked me to the core. But only because I didn’t want to leave my husband and kids, not because I’m not ready to die. I mean of course I’m not ready, but I wasn’t scared about what’s next I was just sad to think that that could have been my last day here on earth. Earth is all I know.
Well, apparently I still have some more time left, God willing! So, I am determined to keep on living well and living intentionally. Yes, it’s how I’m hardwired and I love setting goals, but also because I think we are each given an opportunity to run our race and we shouldn’t take that lightly. We need to grab our batons and go! We need to do what sets our hearts on fire. We need to use our God given gifts and talents to do great things.
On that note, if you are looking for a fresh start for your new year, I’d like to recommend this beautiful bible. (I received a copy for a giveaway, so please enter below and you may win one!)
Here are some of the things I personally liked about it. It is a beautifully designed Bible with a great layout. It includes two programs that can be explored at the pace you set or used on a weekly basis, over the course of a year. There are also lots of notes and articles to help take your learning and understanding even further. Whether your are new to reading the Bible or you’ve read it cover to cover, you’ll appreciate the format and style.
Winner must live in the US. Good luck!
May you find some quiet time during this holiday season to savor some slowness. Look in your rearview mirror and reflect on 2019 and what you are grateful for, then look ahead to 2020 and all you have to look forward to!
Happy Fresh Start!
