Happy Winter! Happy Hygge! (More on this in a bit.) It’s time again for my ten seasonal favorites. You can check out my Ten Spring Favorites HERE, Ten Summer Favorites HERE and Ten Fall Favorites HERE.
Today I’m covering my Ten Winter Favorites and some of the pictures link to Amazon (affiliate link) for easy reference and/or shopping.
Ten Winter Favorites
No. 1: Life 360
I recently added a new app to my phone, Life 360. I was hesitant to use a tracking app to be able to see where my kids are (after all I’m not a helicopter mom!) but in reality, it has actually been very helpful for scheduling and coordinating purposes. My kids are good communicators but now that they are older with busier schedules the instant access is helpful!
No. 2: Rach & Co
These “Life Designed Products” created by Rachel Rosenthal are gorgeous! And are you ready for some great news? She is giving MWM readers a 10% discount -use the code: MORGANIZE10. You can see all of her amazing products in her SHOP. Love, love, love.
No. 3: Dish Rack
I received this dish rack from Benchmark DesignWare and its awesome!!! I love the clean lines and that it can be rolled up when not in use. This is a great drying rack if you need a system for dish drying. It also lays flat over your sink if you are short on counter space. (What will they dream up next?)
No. 4: Book – Cozy Minimalist
These might just be two of my very favorite words cozy+minimalist. If you tend to get stumped with layering and styling, Myquillyn’s new book is a great resource. (I personally have been shopping for pillows for our Master Bedroom for two years – decorating is hard y’all!!!)
No. 5: Cooking Gods Chalkboard Labels
These labels made by Cooking Gods are awesome and I’ll let you in on a little secret, they are giving away one set to one lucky reader. Enter to win the set of 281 labels at the end of the post. What’s not to love about pretty chalkboard labels?
No. 6: Earphone Organizer
Well…you know when I find an organizing hack I just have to pass it on! I rotate between two pairs of headphones (it’s complicated) and my two pairs were getting tangled up like it was their j-o-b. So, I ordered two of these puppies. And no more tangles! My husband thought I was a little crazy when he saw me wrapping up my headphones, but I told him that organizing them was much easier than attempting to untangle them. (I also saw that they come in some fun colors too!)
No. 7: Kid Sick Kit
This is one of the BEST ideas David has ever had! Last year he suggested I make a “Kid Sick Kit.” Genius. Now that winter is underway, go ahead and create one of these too. It’s a lifesaver when you have a child come down with something. Having one stocked and ready, will save you from having to make a late night trip to the store!
No. 8: New Shoes
My new shoes (from Target) are adorable and oh so comfy. I’m not one to dress with much flare, so a little punch like a leopard print is perfect for me!
No. 9: Containers
Next, in sticking with my Target theme (you’re welcome), they have a fabulous selection of canisters and containers. I personally have several of their glass jars and use them around my home for storing all kinds of things. Always keep your eye out for good containment, because containment helps to keep things organized.
No. 10: Hygge
Finally, have you heard of the word “Hygge?” It’s all about being intentional and keeping things cozy and simple. (It’s like the Danes and Norwegians are reading my mind!) Whether you make a fire, light a candle, sit in stillness, savor a cup of tea, or cuddle up with a cozy blanket, it’s the emphasis on slowing down and enjoying the moment. I hope you have many opportunities to squeeze in some hygge this winter.
Thank you for reading and organizing with me! I’m am very thankful for you and your efforts to live more intentionally. If you do not already subscribe to MWM – please do so – it’s the best way to stay in the loop. Click HERE to subscribe to my monthly newsletter.
