This is our first week of summer and I’m enjoying the transition from less structure to more flexibility. It’s such a nice shift. The mornings become lazy, dinners are later, and our daily routines become a distant memory.
One night, we gathered around the fire pit and roasted s’mores together in the backyard. Another night we had a family over for a BBQ and laughed around the TV. Then, just this past weekend, we had two house guests stay with us. For us, the summer lends itself to more hosting opportunities and we appreciate this extra time to open up our home.
As I shared in my post, Organizing your Hospitality: Less Stressing, More Blessing, I’ve learned that when you focus on having a servant’s heart, maintaining healthy expectations, and organizing your home, you can make celebrations increasingly meaningful. You can experience less stressing and more blessing.

But I’m curious to hear from you! I’d love to learn what obstacles you face when hosting? What reservations or concerns do you have? What do you enjoy most about hosting? What do you enjoy least about it? What would help or encourage you to host more?
I believe that a more organized home and lifestyle can help with hosting but I also realize that there are many layers to hosting and would love your input! If you would take a few minutes and fill out this short survey I would truly appreciate it. And, if you fill out the survey, you can enter to win a great giveaway!
