This post is because my husband, David, came to me and said, “You need to do a blog post about organizing a kit. A kit where you stock it with everything you need for when the kids get sick.”
Well, he doesn’t have to tell me things twice. And he’s right, this is a genius idea and a time saver too!
Our kids haven’t been struck too hard with anything this season but we still have had our fair share of sniffles and tummy aches. So…enter in this welcome addition to our home, our “Kid Sick Kit”
This simple organizing project took me just a short time. A quick run to Target (as if this is something that is ever hard for me to squeeze into my day) and viola! We have a Kid Sick Kit!
Organizing: Kid Sick Kit
Our kids are older and mostly take adult medicine, so I stocked up on what we generally need when either a cold or a stomach issue hits.
Whatever you tend to need to run to the store and buy, when your child gets sick, is what you should put in your Kid Sick Kit.
After packing up the bin I then moved it to our pantry. And because I’m all about matching things, I also put the cat food in a container. #twinning
*Side Note: un-package as much as you can whenever you come home from the store. This is one of the best ways to keep your kitchen and food areas MORE organized. Bye bye packaging…hello streamlining!*
Last but not least, someone else tried to steal credit for this fabulous idea, or maybe she was just hoping for some cat food to spill.
Olivia (my dog) and I hope you and your loved ones stay healthy and happy this season.
Either way, it’s always a good idea to be prepared! Like my husband says, “Prior planning prevents problems.”
Happy Organizing!
