It’s the home stretch of the One Room Challenge! I’ll be honest, I’m a little behind. But the plan is in place, the products have been purchased, and now I just need to carve out enough time to actually do the work.
You can bet that I’m getting tired of not having a place to hang up my purse and also not having a working “command center.” These two motivators should help me to stay on track! Next week I’ll be back with the FULL reveal, yay!
Pocket Office – One Room Challenge
Here’s a quick recap. I am working to create an office for me and a mudroom/command center for everyone. I want this room to have some style and decor, but also provide lots of practicality for the entire family. From storage solutions to an inviting work space – this office needs to be ready to work full-time!
This week my progress was a bit lighter especially in comparison to weeks two, three, and four. But I still made some baby steps forward (and maybe a few backwards). I was able to purchase the paint supplies I still needed and also create two DIY message boards.
Pocket Office – DIY Message Board
This is one of the easiest and most practical DIY projects ever! I purchased these rails from Target, like I even needed to say that. The rails are designed to work with hooks and baskets that slide over the rail, which I think is such a cool idea. I found the clips at Wal-Mart and with my trusty hot glue gun I casually measured and slapped three clips on each rail. Done and done!
I can’t wait to share the finished room with you, and to also start being able to hang up my purse again. #itsthelittlethings
You can check out all of the fabulous decoration and inspiration via the ORC. There is so much talent out there in the design and decorating world. I love it!
Happy Organizing & Decorating!
