I promised last week that I would do a “catch up” post on what we’ve been up to since we left Portugal. Like they say, life goes on, and A LOT has gone on in a short amount of time! I credit this mostly to our supersize amounts of adrenalin and motivation.
We’ve been in Colorado now for five weeks and I can safely say that we are all finally adjusted to both the time zone and the altitude. Whew!!!
Those two adjustments were tough.
We moved right into a darling, furnished rental. The home is in a great location, with a neighborhood pool and plenty of parks close by. And we are also only about five minutes away from a Super Target. God bless America.
Now, let me back up a bit.
In early June, we sold our Oregon home, while still living in Portugal, and then within a two-week time frame we also found our new home here in Colorado. We were a little concerned about the tight time frame we had to find a new home, but it has all worked out beautifully.
We couldn’t be more excited about the new house and thankfully we get to drive by often and see the progress.
My head is spinning with window treatment selections, paint colors, and how we should tackle the landscaping. It’s so much fun! We feel extremely grateful and look forward to moving in sometime in September.
While I am very happy, and enjoying our transition back to the States, I am also overwhelmingly sad. Reading and hearing the headlines, surrounding the recent events in our country, and in our world, has been truly heartbreaking.
I am praying for all who have been deeply affected by any of these horrific tragedies. My personal conviction is to pray without ceasing, and to ask God to help me to show more love. There are opportunities all around me, and I want to be obedient and faithful to show his love in every possible way.
Next week I’ll be back with some great new tips on how to better streamline and organize your wardrobe. I recently read a fantastic book that has given me more inspiration on how to create a “working” capsule wardrobe.
Lastly, don’t forget, you can utilize the Summer Organizing Challenge any time you want to! It’s a great way to get some simple organizing done around your home, in short increments of time. And you can also print off your free monthly calendar, just click here.
Happy Organizing!!!
