I am thankful for my beautiful clients that I have been blessed to work with this past year. Each of you have touched my life in so many ways. It’s amazing how when you give, you usually receive so much more back.
I am very thankful for our season here in Portugal. Although I’m feeling very ready to move back to the States (which will happen this coming summer), there is a piece of me that knows this season will be always be a strong and beautiful memory. A season that has changed me.
I am thankful for my health and life. This might sound generic, but I really am. I am guilty of taking these two things for granted. A couple of weeks ago we were sitting at a Memorial Service for a dear friend. When you are reminded of how short your time really is here, it brings things into perspective. Perspective reminds me to continue to strive to be more loving, forgiving, accepting, and to remember that each day is a gift. A precious gift.
I am thankful for the little things, hugs from my kids, when my hubby brings me a warm tea, my puppy laying at my feet, or simply finding that perfect parking spot. I’m also thankful for the big things: protection, family, provision, church, friends, and love.
I am thankful for hope. Our world has so much hurt and tragedy right now, it is unsettling. My daughter (Berkley) told me this morning that she prays every night for our world to be a better place. This broke my heart and restored my heart all at the same time.
May we all continue to do our part to make this world a better place. A place filled with more love, understanding, forgiveness, compassion, grace, hope, and yes, thankfulness.
