It’s 2015 and you know what that means! It’s time for me to share with you my 2015 goals!
The month of January is always such a refreshing time for me. At the beginning of each new year I seem to get a new sense of motivation and my wheels just start to spin a little bit faster! It’s as if putting away all the Christmas decorations just makes me feel more on top of things. And yes, we did just get all of the Christmas stuff put away over the weekend. And yes, I bought a tree bag, that I’m totally head over heels in love with. Who would have thought that a plastic bag could make someone so happy?!?
However, despite my happiness over the new tree storage bag, I was honestly feeling a bit overwhelmed last week. Maybe it was the chore of having to do something like 43 and a half loads of laundry while trying to regroup after returning from a magical vacation. Thankfully though, things all changed for me about mid-week when I sat down and started to work on my goal setting. It was then that things began to feel much less overwhelming and suddenly much more purposeful.
While I’m on the topic of goals today, I wanted to mention that there are over 50 of you who have signed up to be a part of the Goal Challenge! I’m thrilled!!! Thank you so much for joining with me. I can tell it’s going to be a very intentional (and fabulous year)! If you still want to sign up, you may do so at any time, just head right over here.
Now…because I am doing the GC too (of course) I wanted to share with you my goals for the year. Just like I did in 2014,and then shared the results with you too.
My goals are listed under the six dimensions of wellness and just like in 2014, I’m using the door analogy.
I think of approaching a goal like going up to a door. You have to know the door you want to go to, you have to knock on the door, you have to wait, and sometimes you make it in and other times you don’t. The important part is that you are looking for doors to knock on. The doors don’t come to you, you need to go to them. So….what doors do I want to knock on in 2015?

Bucket List Goal – that one krazy – over the top – out there sort of goal…
I am going to be general with this one – dancing. (I love to dance, but taking a Zumba Instructor Training class – in Portuguese – might meet my bucket list requirement.) If not, I want to either look into taking a dance class (with my hubby) or go line dancing – not sure if anywhere in Portugal offers either of these…so this goal will be somewhat organic, I’ll be sure to keep you posted!
My verse for the year is “Commit your works to the Lord and your plans will be established.” Proverbs 16:3
Let’s live WELL this year my friends! Share with me a goal you have below, I’d love to hear from you and maybe you’ll even give me another goal to add to my list…
