As you are hopefully preparing to slow down a bit, I wanted to give you a few of my year-end book recommendations. I set a goal to read 25 books and I’m almost there. I’m reading #25 as I type, well you know what I mean.
So, if you are looking for something to toss into your purse for your travels or a good book to sit with in front of the fire…here are my top recommendations, or my friday fab faves!
My Top 5 Good Reads – 2014
All I can say is wow. This book makes you think. Pick it up, read it, have your spouse read it, and then get to work on your mission! If you have time, watch the video, with some kleenex.
I am the first to admit that I do not know much about history, at all. This book was amazing. A slow start, but a fantastic finish. It’s also coming out as a movie over Christmas, so read it before you watch it!
This has also been made into a movie. I throughly enjoyed both. Great love story, very touching and a bit of a tear jerker.
I recommended this one earlier in the year, it was one of the BEST books that I read this year, I had a very hard time putting it down, my favorite kind of book to read!
This was a book club read and I really liked it. I’ve always loved the Old Testament and this book was written from a women’s perspective (Dinah) which made me look at the story of Jacob and Joseph in an entirely new way. Great read.
So grab a hot cocoa, a cozy blanket and find a quiet spot and take some time to indulge in a good read this holiday season. Reading is a great way to take a mini-vacation, even if you’re not going anywhere!
I’m setting my goal in 2015 – to read 30 books – I know I’m krazy!!! So, if you have recommendations for me, please pass on, I need to get my list written. And speaking of lists…
I’m busy working on my own personal Goal Challenge List for 2015! If you want to join the Goal Challenge go HERE and sign up! It includes 21 pages of printables and a group effort to help us all to pull together and get some {realistic} goals accomplished.
Hoping you have a FABULOUS weekend!!!
