One of the basics I now consider as part of my wardrobe, are my earrings.
Like scarves, they can be a real game changer.
Earrings can help to pull an outfit together or just add interest. Plus they are usually inexpensive and don’t take up much storage. Can we say win-win?

*KISS – Add the bling and your outfits will shine!
This outfit is all “neuts” – but I brought interest into the mix with the silver earrings and shiny bracelet. And that awesome bag. I loved that bag. It’s now been recycled. I wore it out with all my love.
Both of these pictures were from a previous 7 X 7 post where I took seven pieces and made seven outfits. Talk about organization and maximizing the basics.
Speaking of organization, here is how I organize my earrings (and necklaces and bracelets).
I think it helps to keep them out in the open. That way I remember to wear them and it also makes it easier for me to put them away. (I do keep my studs and rings in a small jewelry box as well.)
Now, before I go and shop for some more earrings…
I also wanted to mention that Alison has another Style Me Challenge starting soon that is all about building your basics. (She’s talking my language!) If you feel like you need to take a step back and build up your wardrobe from the basics, this would be a really great fit for you. (Get it clothes fit…)
Trust me when I say this – these girls know their stuff! If you feel stumped when it comes to shopping or how to put clothing items together, this challenge will truly help you! It’s all about the basics baby! Now get out there and wear your bling!
