Happy Monday! I’m hoping that some of you are relaxing a little longer today and that perhaps you might even have a four-day long weekend, with Veteran’s Day tomorrow.
Recently I was on a flight and seated next to an older gentleman who happened to be wearing a Veteran’s hat. He had pre-paid for a meal and yet the airline had no record of it. Graciously the flight attendant gave him a meal anyway and then proceeded to thank him for his dedication and service to our country. I was touched by the flight attendant’s kindness and recognition.
My awareness of the commitment that our military service has for our country as been magnified by living overseas. I am seeing first hand the many lives that are impacted by the military service and lifestyle. I want to encourage you to take some time to thank someone this week. Honor those who have helped to make the life you live yours.
Staying on the topic of military, my hubby and I had the privilege of attending a Marine Corps Ball last weekend. I thought I would share a few photos and mention that it made me very proud to be an American.
Dressed up and ready to go!
The ball was at an incredible venue, this is the entrance.
It was a lovely evening and an honor to be invited.
And of course, we helped to get the dancing started and danced up a storm.
It was a great night.
Live Life!
See you back here on Wednesday where I’ll unveil an organizational spot that my kids use often. Yes, there will be bins involved. And probably some labels too!
