As I continue to train for my marathon, that is coming up in just 20 days (not that I’m counting or anything…). I wanted to share a great app with you! (It’s got the word “run” in the title, but don’t worry, it’s not JUST for runners.)
RunKeeper
This great app is called RunKeeper. It uses GPS to track your distance, time and pace. Along with the option to log any other form of fitness that you want to record.
What I love about this app is that it cuts into my music every five minutes and gives me an update on my mileage and pace – all while I’m running! It’s a great way to better measure progress. And, best of all its FREE!
My only complaint is that the nice lady that talks to me, could have a little more of a cheerleader attitude / voice. After all that would make me even happier as I push through my miles. 🙂
Tomorrow I am planning to get in my longest run (20 miles), in hopes that I can then start to taper my training in my preparation for the big day! It’s been so good to have a BIG goal out there to help keep me pushing myself and getting in some great workouts.
