We’re headed downstairs today! I’m going to give you another peek into another room in our Beach House.
Here is where our kids “veg” out and play with their friends and make messes and have lots of fun!!!
I’ve shown you this set up before in our previous Family Room HERE and HERE.
We have one main Living Room on our main floor so we made the basement the Family Room or what I like to call the Kid’s “Veg” Space. It’s a room that lends itself to Wii time, movie time and even sleepovers with the hide-a-bed.
(I have NO idea what that tubing is on the wall, it goes to a large strange big box in the corner of this room. It is such an eye sore that I’m not even sharing it with you. You’re welcome.)
If you look out the entrance to this room you’ll see a big open space. I’ll share more about this area later. (It’s part of our storage and workout room, and where I teach my Yoga classes.)
You may be asking yourself why are there shelves and garage type storage in this space?
Well…we don’t have a garage, so we have had to get creative and use little areas around our basement to store things.
Case in point.
I recently added these colorful labels that I made via LabelCrafter.
Some colorful organization can really help to add a little personality to a space.
For additional storage in this space I also added these two great baskets.
One holds the blankets and one holds the sports balls.
Most of the accessories (or the bright pops of color) are all things that I found here in Portugal either at IKEA or various stores. The furniture we had before we moved and is from Pottery Barn and JCPenny Home.
Thanks so much for joining me in another tour of our Beach House.
To see the other rooms that I’ve already revealed, go to the Beach House Page and see each month’s show and tell!
Happy Organizing!
