Wow, it was a fun trip! We traveled and explored Paris and Scotland for about 10 days. What an experience. I lined up (or should I say organized) all of the accommodations, transportation, and activities, and off we went!
Here are some of our highlights from our fun-filled trip.
Paris
Our first view when we got off of the train in Paris.
We walked A LOT and poor B had to keep up. Daddy helped her along the way.
We opted to walk up the stairs, all 1710 of them. (Felt more like 4890, like I stated on instagram.) But really it was doable and even though we didn’t go to the VERY top we had an amazing view.
My girls had no fear of standing on the clear flooring mid way up.
I did have fear, which is why I was not out there with them!
My sweet boy, who is now trying to collect hats from each country we visit.
Our view from the top of the carousel.
The Louvre with my three sillies.
My favorite part of Paris, the Lovers Bridge. I’m a romantic and I loved seeing all of the love represented. And I enjoyed seeing that couples return time and time again and add new dates for each visit. (Honey, I guess we’ll have to go back some day!) We added our lock, the D&M, and tossed our keys in the water.
And just to make our kids go ewwww….
Versailles
We took about an hour-long train ride out to Versailles to see the beautiful gardens and sites. (Although we kept feeling like we were back in the PNW.)
Unfortunately we had a very bad weather day and we weren’t really dressed for the constant downpour. We ended up only seeing the gardens and not going into the palace. The lines were long and the rain was strong. (I’m a poet and I didn’t even know it!)
But we found a cute Italian restaurant and enjoyed a yummy lunch. We were cold and wet, and just a wee bit tired.
Paris / Disneyland
This picture pretty much sums it up.
We love Disney and it was such a treat to get to play as a family for a day!
These three are such a blessing to me.
And this cutie is such a trooper. She walks and walks with us and is up for anything.
We spent our last day in Paris recouping. I hung back at the hotel with B & C and David took A back into the city for the day. Our hotel had a water park and play area so the kids were happy to just rest up for the next country.
Next Friday, I’ll share with you all about our Scottish adventures. And if you haven’t heard about our Moroccan Spring Break trip you may want to check it out HERE.
Hoping you have a FABULOUS weekend!
