I’m already behind…but not really. I have been writing my list of goals in my head now for weeks. So it is fun to finally get them jotted down here. Honestly last year with so much transition I didn’t really have a long list of goals, but now that we are settled into our new life I am going to gear up for an even more intentional year! That is just what goals are, intentions. When you think ahead of where you want to go, what you want to do and how you will get there, you are giving yourself direction and purpose. Chances are much more likely that you will meet a goal if you set one. A goal gives you a bull’s-eye, to target and aim for.
I think of approaching a goal like going up to a door. You have to know the door you want to go to, you have to knock on the door, you have to wait, and sometimes you make it in and other times you don’t. The important part is that you are looking for doors to knock on. The doors don’t come to you, you need to go to them. So….what doors do I want to knock on in 2014?
