I’m going to share a few simple “To Dos” that might help you try something new this holiday season without adding any stress.
More peace, less stress!
#1 – Pray for your Loved Ones.
Last year I shared how we collect our Christmas Cards and pray for the different friends and family around the dinner table. It is a great way to focus on others during this season. We toss all incoming cards into this basket and nightly take turns praying for the loved ones in our lives.
#2 – 25 Days of Love – Marry Christmas!
I did this idea last year. I emailed my hubby 25 love notes for 25 days. Since yesterday was the 1st of the month, you can still take this gift idea and run with it. The site I got the idea from talked about making cards and doing a bunch of creative things. I liked the idea, but knowing that 25 homemade cards would not be happening on my overflowing to do list. I opted for email notes. You could go simpler and even text.
#3 – Write out a list for the next 3 weeks.
You have about three weeks until Christmas is officially here. That is still a lot of time! Look at your calendar and be objective. Schedule in all of the little things too. Don’t forget wrapping gifts, teacher gifts, stocking stuffers, holiday menus, traditions, mailing your cards, etc. Put the pen to paper and make your detailed list today. If you do a little bit each day then your stress and responsibility will be lighter and you will have more time to watch those Christmas movies and maybe even go caroling! 🙂
*KISS – Let’s make creating memories and slowing down priority one.
