Today is all about the lower cabinets.
They are not very exciting but they function well. And again, I am thankful for so much storage.
The first single lower cabinets are below my oven and microwave. I use them to store items that I use less often.
The top shelf holds all bakeware, and the lower shelf is a perfect home for cooling racks, pitchers, and bin for the lunch boxes!
Every day after school my three sillies clean our their lunch boxes and place them in here.
That way they are ready to be re-packed the following morning by moi!
Then we move over to the secondary pantry.
I shared all about my big panty over here. But, due to the deep shelves in my primary pantry, I needed to create a secondary pantry for items that needed a different set up.
The top shelf is dedicated to breakfast and the lower shelf is home for all of the canned goods etc.
We have a breakfast menu and this area is designed to help my kiddos self-serve.
Up next is storage for all things cooking, baking, and serving.
To store and organize these items; place like items by each other, and have as many stacking pieces as possible.
Then, underneath my stove top I created a spot for all of my pots and pans, and a few BBQ items too!
{Not as pretty, but pretty functional.}
And bringing up the rear, we have the lazy susan want-to-be, corner lower cabinet. We have a dishwasher kiddie corner, so it is not an actual corner cabinet.
There was not a great way to get a good picture, so here you go!
Corner cabinets usually provide a lot of storage, but not usually very usable storage. So, what I tend to do is stick the appliances in the back that we don’t use very often, such as our ice cream maker or smores maker (seriously we have one).
Then in the front I place my most popular appliances, crock pot, blender, and cutting boards and strainers.
And that’s the end of my lower cabinets reveal! Next week I’ll talk about fridges and freezers.
