When I decided to commit to some Pinterest Projects, and I got all of our Household Manuals organized, it felt so good! Why do I get such an organizational high? I was so happy with my new “Manuals” Notebook that I decided I needed to create another Notebook called “Grab & Go”.
I created this Notebook as a place to hold a lot of important information all in one place. That way if we ever have to exit the house quickly for an emergency of some kind, I will be able to GRAB this notebook, and I will be ready to GO!
I used zipper pouches for some of the important pieces, which allowed me to keep like items together.
I also purchased sleeves with pockets for different cards, it created a great spot for any and all cards that I want to keep on hand, including business cards (Doctors, Financial Advisor etc.).
Here are some of the items you may want to consider putting in a “Grab & Go” Notebook:
- Proof of Identification – (Passports, Birth Certificates, Marriage License)
- Insurance Policies – (Homeowner, Health, Life, Auto)
- Property Records – (Mortgage/Deed, Title to Vehicle)
- Estate – (Will & Attorney’s contact info.)
- Financial – (Last two year’s tax returns)
- Medical – (Immunizations, Prescriptions, Doctor’s contact info.)
- Other Misc. – (User names/Passwords for online accounts, Backup Computer Files)
Decide what you want to put in your Notebook, and what you would NEED in an emergency. And, last but not least, think about security with where you keep your Notebook and what you actually place in it.
KISS – Keep important items together, so that in an emergency you can “Grab & Go”!
