Today, as we continue on the tour of my Kitchen, I’m going to show you the upper cabinets. Please be careful as I open the doors, you never know what may, or may not fall out. {I’m only sort of joking here.}
This is a snapshot of the long wall that holds all of our upper cabinets. We have a total of four double doors and one single door. Our Kitchen has a fabulous amount of storage.
On the far right, I have our “Spices & Baking Zone”, I shared in greater detail over here about this lovely space.
This is the main home for all of our glassware. The upper left holds travel cups, and large mugs, and the upper right is for the extra gift/souvenir mugs. Then, the bottom left is for all glassware, and the bottom right is home for all of our everyday mugs, along with large plastic cups for smoothies etc.
In addition, I have this drawer for the kids at their own level, which allows them to grab a cup on their own.
It is the spot for candles, extra serving pieces and a few odds and ins, things we don’t access very often.
One of my tips for maintaining my cupboards is that I try to put everything away nice and neat, every time. Whether I am unloading the dishwasher or cooking. I find that when I tidy as I go, it helps me to maintain the “Zones”.
Your “Zones” should keep the function in your Kitchen humming right along. Think efficiency and productivity when setting up the spaces.
*KISS – Create “Zones” to define each Kitchen Cabinet.
