As an obessor organizer, I do also tend to also do a little obsessing with how I decorate around my home. I am known as a “constant changer.” I keep moving things and shifting pieces until they feel “just right.” Can you relate with me?
I want to know…is your home a direct reflection of you? What do you like or not like about your current space(s)? If you could change one thing what would it be?
And, I will leave you with my Top Ten Tips…
Organizing & Decorating
1 – Only buy decor that YOU love!
2 – Use timers for your lights.
3 – Have the seasons be a reminder for a time to change things up a bit.
4 – Baskets are great for collecting blankets and/or extra pillows.
5 – Avoid matching, buy different textures, styles, finishes, and shapes.
6 – Layer your home with accessories, but avoid too much, don’t let clutter creep in.
7 – Rely on inspiration for direction, let someone else pave the way with a plan, like Pinterest.
8 – After guests leave, see how your furniture functioned, notice where people sat, adjust accordingly.
9 – Keep moving things around, play with your design, don’t get stuck.
10 – Buy for function AND fashion, not just for one, or the other.
*KISS – Make your home a direct reflection of you (and your family).
