I have never really liked Spring Break.
Usually the weather is not great and we don’t make any real plans.
This year has been no exception. Except that my kids got not one, but two weeks off.
The hard part is not really having my kids home, the problem for me lies in the chaos that just keeps coming my way. I have promised to be authentic around here, in other words hiding my pride and sharing the ugly too, so here ya go…
Here are some of the chaos highlights lowlights from just week one:
-Washer Machine broken, now fixed, (machine was broken because somebody didn’t shake out the sandy beach towels-whoops….)
-Rain and storms most every.single.day. (including, thunder/lightning/hail….)
-Hubby gone on Business two + weeks, miss him and need him to take out the garbage.
-Running Easter on my lonesome.
-Finding cat poop on the workout mat, b/c we are house sitting a cat for three weeks – what?
-Spring Forward an hour (not my favorite – prefer Fall Back).
-Evening vet trip b/c our cat had a falling accident – now healing.
-Can’t get USPS print and ship labels to work for the life of me.
-Driving on the freeway and my son getting carsick, thankfully I whisked the hat off my head to catch the throw up, since I had just had the car detailed.
-Missing my workouts, a.k.a. stress relief….
Why does a break have to be so stressful? I am going to get on planning a trip for next year. We are definitely going on a trip. I need a vacation from my vacation. And, I will be sure to pack some Ziploc bags for any upset tummies.
Who can relate to Spring Break Stress? Talk to me…any tips? I’ve still got five days to go…
