***Update Time!***
Everything around this place is constantly being tweaked and adjusted. I laughed when my hubby said he didn’t need a tour of our new kitchen set up because it would change anyway. Ha, ha, he knows me too well!
After a few weeks with my ‘new’ but somewhat ‘old’ Laundry System.
I have had to make a few tiny {3} adjustments.
I have had to make a few tiny {3} adjustments.
#1-NO MORE UNDIES
The mesh bags are working like magic! BUT…instead of having them put both their undies and socks in their mesh bags, we’re sticking to just their socks. The undies were a no go, they just got too wrinkly. And one does not want to have wrinkly panties. It was worth a try.

#2-MOMMA GETS HER SHELVES BACK
I have decided to do away with giving them each their own shelf in the Laundry Room. I am 100% back with my old system. It just works too well for me that I don’t need these shelves like I thought I would. Yeah more storage for me to play with!
#3-TURNOVER
After working with my ‘new’ system for a few weeks, I have come up with a simple turnover system. I fold each of my kid’s clothes and put them in their individual baskets. When their sock bag is clean and ready, I dump (yes you read that correctly) all of their socks in their baskets and then clip their mesh bag back on to the front. The kids put their clothes away, including matching up their socks (we’re trying to teach responsibility around here) and their baskets go back in their closets, ready for business!

Please remember, you have to find the best way to do laundry for YOU. I wrote here about different approaches to tackle the laundry responsibility. Don’t feel like there is one best way to get your laundry done day after day, week after week. Different strokes for different folks. Keep playing with different options, schedules, and be sure to get your kids involved!
Where have you had to make tiny adjustment(s) with your home organization?
