How do you keep exercise a priority?
I get asked this question a lot.
Here are my ABC’s that will help you to better prioritize you and your health!
ACCOUNTABILITY is key.
This could be a walking friend, your spouse, or even a Personal Trainer. When you know someone is waiting for you or will be asking about what you have done {or not done}, your motivation is going to be automatically ramped up! Without accountability it is really easy to miss the target of your goals.
BE in love.
If you have a hard time imaging that you could actually love exercising, you need to think outside the box. Working out doesn’t have to be running on a treadmill. Being active comes in many forms. Are you a dancer? Try Zumba. Do you love being outdoors? Get out and walk or take a hike. Keep trying until you find exercise(s) that you really love and look forward to doing. If it is something you enjoy you will actually do it, right?
COMMIT with goals.
Write down your goals, communicate them to your accountability partner, and build in rewards to help keep you motivated. Without a plan in place, chances are you won’t make it to where you want to go!
