*Step Two*
If you missed Step One – hop over here.
Also, I had a previous system that I shared over here, but now we are living in a new Country, and a new home. Sooooo things have been updated more or less.
Each of my three kids have their own laundry basket in their built in closet that look like this.
We said good bye to our laundry chute. 🙁
#wewerespoiled
My expectation is that all of their dirty clothes stay in piles on their bedroom floors go in these baskets and their unmentionables in their mesh bags. 🙂
On Sunday nights they walk these down to our new laundry/mudroom and sort their dirty clothes into these baskets I have here.
I separate by colors, whites, towels, and workout.
Remember this?
My old Mudroom – Thanks Mom for paving the way!
They leave their individual small baskets in the laundry/mudroom.
Then, on Mondays I tackle wash all of their clothes first!
(I used to do all of the laundry for all five of us on Mondays. But now that we are in Europe where the appliances do not seem to have the same capacities, I am having to stretch things out a bit more.
Here is my loose schedule – time will tell if this is realistic…
Mondays-Kids Clothes
Tuesdays-Morgan/David
Wednesdays-Sheets/Towels
Let’s review –
Step One: We can have lots of fun…with Mesh Bags!
Step Two: There’s so much we can do…when it comes to sorting our own laundry!
What do you do when your kids put undirty (that is my own word) clothes in the dirty pile???
