Three Simple Steps to help you with tackling your kids’ laundry week in and week out!
*Step One*
Recently I shared about this new system that I call –
“Mission Mesh Bag”
This will go down as my first project that I have completed from Pinterest.
#highfivesallaround
I will be assigning a Laundry Mesh Bag to each of my kiddos for their socks and undies.
BRILLIANT right?
OK – so I bought the mesh bags,
that was the easy part.
Then I had to figure out how I wanted to have them attach with each of my kiddo’s laundry baskets.
Enter in my TOTAL light bulb moment.
I have clothes pins.
Not because I have a clothesline.
Just because you never know when you will need a clothes pin….like now!
Perfect!
Then I had to go about a way to color coordinate, so I would know who’s bag went with who.
I found these markers.
(They loosely go with their room colors – just working with what I had around the house.)
I colored a line across the top (the silver pen was actually dried out, so I left Ainsley’s plain) and washed them to make sure there was no bleeding and that the marker would stay permanent.
Out of the wash they came ready to go.
I clipped them on their baskets and placed in each bedroom.
In our new home they each have a built in closet with spaces for their baskets.
What I learned…
-Go with a larger sized mesh bag, it makes it easier to get things in and out.
-If separating colors is a concern, use two bags, one for undies and one for socks.
-Clip the bag on the external or internal side of your basket or hamper.
Let’s review –
Step One: We can have lots of fun…with Mesh Bags!
Do you do Laundry once a week, every day, or as you need to?
